Qigong (or Ch'i kung) has been practised in China for many hundreds, if not thousands of years to help develop and maintain harmony of mind, body and spirit. The principles of Qigong also underlie the Chinese internal martial arts, such as Taijiquan (or T’ai chi ch’uan) and Baguazhang (or Pa kua chang).
